Gleyber Torres sitting Tuesday for front end of Yankees' doubleheader
New York Yankees infielder Gleyber Torres is not in the starting lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against right-hander Zack Wheeler and the New York Mets.
Torres missed a couple games late last week with some shoulder soreness, so the Yankees may just be erring on the side of caution with two games on tap. He should be back for Game 2. DJ LeMahieu is starting at second base in the matinee while Gio Urshela plays third.
Torres is hitting .274/.323/.513 with 14 homers, 13 doubles, 32 RBI, 35 runs scored, and 3 steals in 252 plate appearances this season. He's averaging 10.9 FanDuel points per game.
