Mariners' Dee Gordon (wrist) to start a rehab assignment Friday
Seattle Mariners second baseman Dee Gordon (wrist) has been sent out on a rehab assignment to Triple-A Tacoma.
Gordon has been out of action since May 20 with a wrist contusion but is nearing a return to the big league club. He is expected to play a couple of games with Tacoma over the weekend and then will rejoin the roster in Minnesota early next week.
Gordon has batted .281 with 12 steals and 16 runs scored over 173 plate appearances this season.
