Phillies' Odubel Herrera placed on administrative leave
Philadelphia Phillies center fielder Odubel Herrera has been placed on administrative leave by Major League Baseball following his arrest for domestic violence on Monday night.
Herrera will be inactive for at least the next seven days while MLB investigates an alleged incident with his 20-year-old girlfriend in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The center fielder may be facing a lengthy suspension. Scott Kingery should see more playing time while Herrera is sidelined.
Herrera is hitting .222/.288/.341 with a homer, 10 doubles, 16 RBI, 12 runs scored, and 2 steals in 139 plate appearances this season.
