Curtis Granderson on Marlins' bench Monday
Miami Marlins left fielder Curtis Granderson is not starting in Monday's series opener versus the Chicago Cubs.
The Cubs are sending left-hander Cole Hamels to the hill, so Granderson will grab a seat. The 38-year-old veteran hasn't been in the lineup against a southpaw anytime this season. Peter O'Brien is covering left field and batting sixth while Miguel Rojas handles leadoff duties. Jorge Alfaro is catching Sandy Alcantara over Chad Wallach and batting out of the cleanup spot.
numberFire's models expect Granderson to record 16 homers, 45 RBI, and 49 runs scored over the rest of the season.
