Chicago's Eloy Jimenez officially promoted to the big league roster
Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez has been recalled from Triple-A and will start the season on the big league roster.
After signing a six-year, $43M extension, it was nearly a sure thing that Jimenez would start the season in the majors. The White Sox top prospect will make his MLB debut on Opening Day after crushing 22 homers with a .337 batting average in 108 games between Double and Triple-A in 2018. He will be the White Sox everyday left fielder.
Our models project Jimenez for 22 homers, 65 RBI, and a .281 batting average in 507 plate appearances in 2019.
