Angels' Shohei Ohtani (elbow) hits in cage off coach
Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani (elbow) hit in the batting cage off a coach throwing overhand on Sunday.
Ohtani also did some throwing as he continues to work his way back from last October's Tommy John Surgery. Barring any setbacks, he's expected to debut at the beginning of May as the Angels' designated hitter. The 24-year-old two-way stud will not pitch in a game until 2020.
numberFire's models expect Ohtani to bat .274 with 25 taters, 74 RBI, 67 runs scored, and 10 steals across 465 plate appearances in 2019.
