Blue Jays' Lourdes Gurriel (hamstring) sidelined rest of season
Toronto Blue Jays infielder Lourdes Gurriel (hamstring) will not play again this season.
Gurriel is dealing with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain and with less than a week left to play, there isn't enough time for the rookie to get healthy. Turning 25 next month, Gurriel figures to open 2019 as the Blue Jays' starting shortstop.
Gurriel averaged 9.4 FanDuel points in 65 games during his first season of action in the majors, with a .281/.309/.446 slash, 11 home runs, 35 RBI, and 30 runs scored across 263 plate appearances.
