Russell Martin, C, Toronto Blue Jays

Russell Martin's production has been awful to start the season -- there's no point dancing around that fact -- but a deeper look at the numbers should have you remaining optimistic. His 34.4 percent hard-hit rate is on pace to be the best of his career, leaving lots of room to believe that his .266 BABIP and 0 home runs aren't likely to last.

Drew Smyly is putting together an excellent season for the Rays, but his career .319 wOBA and a 4.02 xFIP against right-handed hitters shouldn't scare us off of Martin while his salary is so close to the minimum.
