Jered Weaver will take the mound for the Angels tonight, and while he's not exactly a pushover, Corey Dickerson has the kind of extreme platoon splits that keep his price-tag low enough that he's nearly always worth consideration when he's against a right-handed pitcher.

His numbers against lefties are incredibly unimpressive, but against righties he looks like a hitter bordering on elite. Over his career (798 plate appearances) he has hit right-handers for a .397 wOBA and .273 ISO, with a 38.8 percent fly ball rate, a 38.8 percent hard-hit rate and a 140 wRC+.

Those are the kind of numbers you're usually getting from the top-priced bats in your lineup, and that makes Dickerson hard to turn down when he costs so little.
