Lefty slugger Jake Bauers has shown a solid batting profile in his rookie campaign, pairing a superb 14.3% walk rate with a .189 isolated power (ISO).

Unfortunately, Bauers also swings and misses a lot against right-handed pitching, posting a 25.9% strikeout rate in the split, and he faces a tough matchup with Luis Severino on the hill.

Severino has actually been better against lefties in 2018 than he has versus righties -- recording a 28.9% fly-ball rate, .300 wOBA, and 29.1% strikeout rate -- making Bauers one to avoid.
