Justin Smoak, 1B, Toronto Blue Jays

Considering the myriad of high-upside first base options we have in guys like Paul Goldschmidt, Freddie Freeman, and Yonder Alonso in popular spots tonight, Justin Smoak figures to go largely unnoticed. Smoak may not be producing quite the eye-popping numbers of 2017, but he's still putting a hurting on right-handed hurlers with a 37.8% hard-hit rate, 50.0% fly-ball rate, .414 xwOBA, and .259 ISO.

The Toronto Blue Jays' 4.74 implied team total trails the slate's other top offenses, but they could certainly put up numbers against Heath Fillmyer. In spite of a surprising 3.13 ERA over 37 1/3 innings, Fillmyer's peripherals don't back it up, as he's posted a poor 5.25 SIERA, 13.6% strikeout rate, and 11.0% walk rate. Furthermore, he mustered a mere 5.75 ERA over 15 Triple-A starts this season. On a 14-game slate, Smoak and the Blue Jays could find themselves in an overlooked spot.
