Chris Sale is the only pitcher priced above $9,000 tonight, and he's well worth paying up for.

He has put together an incredible 2017 season, leading qualifying pitchers in SIERA (2.59), strikeout rate (35.2%), and swinging-strike rate (16.1%). That swinging-strike rate jumps to an absurd 17.0% if we look at his three starts in June.

His matchup against the Kansas City Royals is a good one -- while they don't strikeout a ton against southpaws (18.4%), they're among the bottom five in wRC+ (83).

The Boston Red Sox are big -190 favorites, and the Royals' 3.62 implied total is the lowest on the slate.
