Number One Waiver Claim

So the time has come to use my all important #1 waiver claim and I'm sort of torn between who to use it on. Viable options are:

Andre Williams (looks like Jennings is a long shot to play against Indy)
Jonas Gray
DeAngelo Williams
Reggie Wayne
Lorenzo Taliaferro

My problem is that my RB depth is pretty atrocious with Fred Jackson getting injured. Currently I have:

LeSean McCoy
Steven Jackson (BYE)
Pierre Thomas (injured)
Fred Jackson (injured)

The question I'm wrestling with is it worth using my pick on a one week super sub in Andre Williams or more of an ROS spec pick in the form of Jonas Gray. Mostly I just have to weather the storm till Fred Jackson gets back. Go!

(1) DeMarco Murray (drafted 13th) , (2) Arian Foster (drafted 28th) , (3) Chris Ivory (drafted late) and yes, (4) Jonas Gray (picked up as free agent Week 7. And I'm now wiaver pick #1, too. Hoping for manna from heaven - receivers are my nightmare.

You've sketched it out nicely for us. I like Andre, even ROS as part of committee there's potential for plenty touches. Jonas? Probably my favorite, still a gamble because so many unknowns about usage. But they have no one else in the "big back" committee. Jonas would be replacing Ridley, which was valuable property and seems like NE wanted to restore offensive balance. They have a decent line, too. No on CAR backs in general with leg-man Cam. Iffy O-line as well. Taliaferro has upside, but Justin is rocking the house and Bernard will NOT go away, so I expect this to be a development year for the most part. Good back next year and if Justin really goes down. Reggie doesn't fill your need and I wouldn't be surprised if Moncrief keeps the job part-time. Go Gray and don't look back. :)
