Trade: Gronk + Gerhart for Spiller + Ertz?
10-team, non-ppr. Starting rosters are 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1 RB/WR/TE Flex, 1TEMy roster:
QB: Romo, Dalton
RB: Murray, Joique, Gerhart, Hill, Khiry
WR: A.J., Keenan, Kelvin, Terrance, Quick
TE: Gronk, Pitta
My QBs are a disaster, and I was in trade talks with the owners of Russel Wilson, but I wasn't a fan of the Gronk for Russ + Rudolph proposal he was making. I don't see Rudolph as an improvement over Gronk at all, and I think Romo will turn it around enough that Russ won't be a significant improvement in a couple weeks time.
SO I was thinking of ways to deepen my roster to aim for a QB trade next week if Romo continues to flame out and Cousins plays like Cousins '13.
I really like Ertz, and while his yds/catch will inevitably go down, I think his usage will increase enough to the point that he finishes as a top-5 TE. I'm also high on Spiller and think he'll produce as a high RB2 going forward.
I am hesitant to part with Gronk, but I see Ertz as a legitimate replacement.

0Andrew Carlson (366 Reputation Points)Not a bad trade. I'm with you on letting someone like Gronk go. I think your losing a little on the TE trade but are making good grounds on the RB trade

0Jason Barney (422 Reputation Points)I think I would do it. Gerhart is a dud, and Gronk is just not all the way there. Ertz has massive TD upside and Spiller has blowup potential.
