give up Lacy for Charles and B. Quick?
would you give up Lacy for JMail and B. Quick?
Lacy is driving me crazy and I can stomach Charles being out a couple weeks, if they say 4 weeks, the last one will be their BYE week if I'm looking at schedule correctly.
Would this trade be foolish? just ride out Lacy and wait for him to turn it around?

    No way dude. Charles is out for 4-6 weeks with a high ankle sprain. Lacy had a tough run D schedule early, starting week 4 he'll be back to his beastly ways.

    Randall, I want a source that says 4 - 6 weeks...Andy Reid said its not a severe high ankle sprian.. Typical high ankle sprains take multiple weeks to recover from but he said this isn't a severe one... so... where did you get 4 - 6 weeks or did you pull that out of your ass?

    Kind of a moot point. You'd be foolish to trade a RB1 for another 1 who can't play for the foreseable future. Even if Charles is a quick healer, you're still leaving a big hole in your roster. Someone is trying to hose you if that's their offer.

    if Lacy puts up a 3rd straight dud, his value is gonna plummet. I'm not trying to argue that I disagree, I'm just thinking out loud. It seems to me that an elite RB1 should be a must start against any defense and possibly still produce RB1 numbers. Not that Charles put up anything last week either but he has proven for multiple seasons to be an elite RB. Lacy has 1 season, 2 concussions, and the bad taste of Trent Richardson still in a lot of peoples mouth.

    not at all, just wanting people's opinion. Nice to hear other peoples thoughts sometimes to help me see a view I may not have considered. My 2nd WR right now is Golden Tate so things aren't looking real good.

    I wouldn't necessarily say his value will "plummet" (Lacy) if he has another subpar week. He faced 2 really good defenses. He will most likely not have a huge game this upcoming week against Detroit either. If anything, I'm trying to poach Lacy in leagues for this very reason. He is a plus runner between the tackles and he added pass catching to his repertoire and he is in a top 3 offense, especially in the red zone. The points will be there. You just happen to have him during a rough stretch.

    Now the concussion issue is a very real issue due to his running style and past history. Ballpark that Charles will be out for 4 weeks (maybe he comes back sooner, but are you playing him his first week back?). Also consider that for a back that relies on speed and shiftiness, Charles might not be 100% for several games. If you can weather the storm for 4-6 weeks, he could pay off, but is that payoff a big enough upgrade over what Lacy can do for you? I dotn know if its worth it to me.

    i wouldnt really do it. all you are doing is trading an rb1 for another rb1
