Do I need to upgrade RB or QB?
12-team, 0.5 PPR league:

QB: Newton, RG3
RB: Sankey, Spiller, P. Thomas, Ridley, Khiry Robinson
WR: Calvin Johnson, Julio Jones, R. White, C. Shorts
TE: Rudolph
DST: Bengals

I went WR-WR in rounds 1-2, getting maybe the two best WR's in the game, but it cost me at RB and QB. Do I need trade away one of those WR's to upgrade my weaker positions? Should I try to do it preseason, or wait to see how things pan out?

    I would try to deal RG3 and Sankey for an upgrade at RB. You don't need to QBs. And Sankey isn't even the starter in that backfield. He isn't going to live up to his draft position this year. Most rookie RBs never do

    You may do OK the way you are with those 2 beastly WRs. If Sankey/Spiller/Ridley don't pan out, focus on upgrading RB first - you can always try to tough it out and stream if need be at QB.

    I think you were smart to go WR-WR, but you just made a miscalculation when it came to the QBs. RG3 is looking horrible and Newton has a cracked rib. He should be ok, but he is also dealing with a raw WR corp.Your RBs are shaky too. Sankey SHOULD be the lead RB, but he has been running with the backups. Spiller only works between the 20-20 yard lines, And Ridley is in danger of being benched and or cut. Maybe you can trade Roddy White for a lower end RB2?

    Wait it out.. your RB's are not spectacular but P. Thomas is great in PPR (min every week flex start) and if Spiller and Ridley turn things around you will be in good shape. Sankey is unknown at this point. If Cutler is available in your league I would look at dropping one of your Q's for him.

    I was actually hoping to wait it out and grab Cutler... but he was snatched up in the 5th round! Very weird draft... I got Griffin and Newton in rounds 9-10, even though I'm not crazy about either one.

    There was an early run on QBs. The "big 3" went in the first round. Cutler was about the 10th one taken.
