Thoughts on my roster? 12 Team Standard
12 team, standard scoring. Start 1 QB 2 RB 2 WR 1 TE 1 Flex 1 D 1 PK

QB: Newton
RB: L. Bell, Gerhart, T-Rich, Hyde, West, Greene
WR: DT, Crabtree, Wright, Cooper, Hartline, Woods
TE: Pitta
D: Broncos
K: Dawson

I traded my second round pick for Bell in the offseason and used my number ten overall on DT. I figured I could find an RB2 I could live with in round 3 (Gerhart), and I was worried about waiting till number 39 overall in the fourth round to get my WR1. I would've ended up with Crabtree at WR1, so I feel like I dodged a bullet - receivers were flying off the board in round 2-3 (just about everyone kept a RB) and 3 went in round 1.

Still, I'm a little worried about starting Richardson at flex on a weekly basis. Hopefully he can get some solid red zone work and put up enough touchdowns to offset what I assume will be another lackluster season yardage wise. Better yet, Gore goes down or declines and Hyde becomes flex-worthy. I don't hate my team, but I don't love it either.

Thoughts? Suggestions? I'm probably staying put for now trade wise until I know what I'm getting out of Wright but I could use an outside perspective.

(BTW, Murray was kept or he'd have been my pick at 10)

If the worst problem you have is who to start at flex, I'd say you did pretty well. DT is a superstar and Crabtree could deliver WR1 kind of production now that he's healthy. I'm very high on him this year. The RBs are solid if unspectacular. Wright is for me the definition of a flex. Now you just pray you get the 2012 TRich and not the tap dancy 2013 version.

Yeah I'm coming around to liking my team. I should have a crack at the playoffs, and anything can happen from there I guess. Thanks!

I think your roster is OK. I personally don't like starting 2 volume guys at RB unless I have some serious explosion at another position. I feel like your roster is going to get you a good baseline of points but there are going to be weeks where your going to be left out to dry due to lack of big play potential. Though I agree with your assessment of Crabtree I don't think its going to happen as the 49'ers offense I think has scored something like 3 points when the starting unit has been on the field. IMO if you can package T-Rich/Crabtree to get some guys with upside (Floyd or Ellington from AZ, Spiller, Murray just to name a few) I think you would be in better shape

My league is notorious for being tough to trade. Some guys just won't, other guys try to rob you blind. The only reliable trading partner who I know isn't going to make ridiculous demands doesn't have the needs I can offer him right now. Maybe injuries can open that door, I dunno. Thank you!

Kendall Wright could be your FLEX. I don't love BELL as your #1... you are weakest at RB. I would consider trading Crabtree and Trent for someone with upside like Vereen or MJD.

i agree with wright but i really hope your joking about trading crabtree for either of those guys. neither vereen nor mud has upside and vereen is significantly less valuable in non ppr. crabtree playing a full season with kaep could end up with a 80-1200-8 line which is a very good wr2

If Crabtree puts that line up I'll be estatic. That's about 170 points! Thank you though. I don't think I want to trade Crabtree, but I think what you posted is his best possible return. Thanks guys!
