Question about QB's for Daniel Lindsey
You answered a question, you should never ever draft a qb in the first three rounds. I wanted to hear more on that. If Drew Brees falls anywhere in the third round, how is that not a steal? Is firefactor not the gold standard? In I0 and 12 team standards, they advise Brees early 2nd. In 10 and 12 team PPR's, they advise Brees in the early third. If you get an Elite RB in the first, an Elite WR in the second, how is your best move not to get a weekly advantage at QB?

This is by JJ Zachariason but it answers your question better than any answer I can give:

Thank you for the response. I have read all of JJ's articles, and I am fully on board with drafting a QB late. Im in 30 some leagues, and I have a top 3 QB in about 4 or 5 of the leagues. I endorse the strategy. I just can't find an answer for Brees Rodgers or Manning and their value in the draft.

Ah ok then. I'm pretty sure that taking those guys in the 3rd is a fair value, but you're not "stealing" anything unless they're going in the 4th or later.

I haven't heard anyone say to draft Brees in the early second, the third round is a good spot for him. End of second maybe. I wouldn't go out of my way to reach for him, but I'd take him if he falls in my lap. If I'm not one of the first guys to take a QB, I want to be one of the last if not the last.

    Firefactor says so.

I believe if Brees falls to the 3rd round and you already drafted a RB & WR.. Go for it! He is definitely going to be drafted in the 3rd round if you dont jump on it.
