Trading picks
SO this is a 10 man standard league and I have pick 5. I have been offered this trade which I am willing to take as it gives me greater depth around picks 30 and 31.

My: 16, 56, 65, 116, 136
His: 30, 31, 71, 111, 131
What is everyone thoughts?
It would give me 5,25,30,31,36 as my first 5 picks

Moving up 15 spots early in the draft is exponentially better than moving up 15 later.

Sound like you are sending a 16 for a 30 and 31? If so it might not be bad if you feel that there isnt a huge difference between 16 and 30

I believe he is saying "as" my first 5 picks here. So in essence it is a straight up swap of the mentioned picks.

I would do a couple of mock snake drafts at pick #5 and see what you can come up with. Next look at the total mock results and see what players were available at the picks you will have if you do the trade.

Compare the 2 possible teams and boom you have your answer.

Drafts are so unpredictable, it's impossible to try and project how many more total points this nets you...but the way you worded your last sentence is kind of confusing me...you get 5, 25, 30, 31, 36, plus 5 more picks in the first 5 rounds? Maybe I'm missing something but I'm wholly confused.

Either way, if this is just as simple as swapping those 10 picks between the two of you, I don' think I'd do it. That's a huge gap between your first pick and your next pick, and there's really no telling what kind of runs your draft will go on, position-wise...you could find yourself using those "depth" picks on some very much lower-tier players.
