Nobody throws less than even 28 attempts per game. In three playoff games, they averaged more than 27 attempts per game and averaged 26 pass attempts per game in 2013. They are 54/46 Pass Run and that is with one of the best scramblers in the game. Kaepernick ran at least 4-5 times per game on designed pass plays with an average of 5 or 6 yards per carry in the regular season and about 10 yard per carry in playoffs (and about 800 total rushing yards). So my point that they don't do a lot of passing is valid. My other point, that Kaepernick is poor at using his receiving depth, is also valid. When you watch him play, he rarely throws to any receiver beyond is 2nd read. If his 1st and 2nd options are covered, he takes off running. Why do they need another mid-sized receiver when they are already stocked up with that player type and they are underutilized???
