Jeff Carter nets overtime winner as Kings top Capitals
Los Angeles Kings center Jeff Carter scored the winner in overtime and added an assist in a 4-3 victory over the Washington Capitals on Wednesday.
Carter set up Milan Lucic on a goal in the first period, and Lucic returned the favor at 2.50 of overtime. The goal was his 18th of the season and comes off a two goal performance against Vancouver on Monday. He has 47 points in 61 games. Lucic, Vinny Lecavalier and Jake Muzzin scored the goals for Los Angeles.
His -3.8 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength is hovering near a career low (-3.9) while his 55.4 Corsi For Percentage equals his clip from last season. We project Carter to tally five more goals and seven more assists over the Kings' final 14 games.
