Earl Thomas ends holdout, reports to Seahawks Wednesday
Seattle Seahawks defensive back Earl Thomas has ended his holdout and will report to the team on Wednesday.
Thomas was reportedly willing to miss regular-season games if the Seahawks didn't offer him an extension, but it looks like he will play out the final year of his deal as is. The 29-year-old said on Instagram that "the disrespect has been well noted and will not be forgotten," so it's possible a trade is made at some point in-season. The Dallas Cowboys reportedly upped their offer to a second-round pick for Thomas' service, after originally offering a third.
Operating under the previous assumption he misses Week 1, numberFire's models project Thomas for 77.9 tackles, 5.9 pass deflections, and 2.0 interceptions this season.
