Jerick McKinnon (knee) sitting for 49ers until Week 1
San Francisco 49ers running back Jerick McKinnon (knee) will be out of action until Week 1, general manager John Lynch said.
McKinnon has been sidelined since injuring his knee at Sunday's practice. With Matt Breida (shoulder) also out until Week 1, the 49ers will rely on a committee of 2017 fifth-round pick Jeremy McNichols, 2017 fourth-rounder Joe Williams, free agent acquisition Alfred Morris, and Raheem Mostert for the remainder of the preseason.
numberFire's projections currently expect McKinnon to rush for 913.3 yards and 4.17 touchdowns, with another 399.7 receiving yards and 5.80 touchdowns on 54.8 receptions. He's the RB15 in our preseason fantasy rankings.
