Case Keenum reportedly won't receive franchise tag from Vikings
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Case Keenum isn't expected to receive the franchise tag, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
This would make Keenum a free agent next month and also means the Vikings are likely going to be in the market for a starting quarterback. In related news, NFL.com's Gil Brandt reported Monday morning that Minnesota and free agent Kirk Cousins share mutual interest. It's also possible that Keenum winds up re-signing with the Vikings on a long-term deal after testing the open market.
Keenum averaged 16.0 FanDuel points in 15 games (14 starts) for the Vikings last season, with 3,547 passing yards, 22 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. He also rushed for 160 yards and added a score on the ground.
