Calvin Johnson's fumble at goal line loses it for Lions

Detroit Lions wideout Calvin Johnson caught 7-of-11 targets for 56 yards in the Lions' 13-10, Week 4 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night.

What It Means:

It should have been seven catches for 57 yards and one touchdown for Johnson, but with under two minutes left to play in the fourth quarter, Johnson caught a pass around the five-yard line and was heading into the end zone for the game-winning 11-yard touchdown before Seahawks' safety Kam Chancellor came from behind and punched the ball out just before Johnson crossed the goal line. The ball went through the back of the end zone, and the Seahawks were able to hang on for the 13-10 win. Earlier in the game, Johnson had a step on Seahawks corner Cary Williams down the sideline, but Matthew Stafford missed him for what could have been a big gain.

Johnson finished the game with -2.00 Reception Net Expected Points, due in large part to the costly fumble. Through four games, Johnson has made 27 catches for 255 yards and one touchdown. Detroit plays host to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5 before finally getting a favorable matchup in Week 6 against the Chicago Bears.
