Dwayne Allen not at Colts' practice Friday
Indianapolis Colts tight end Dwayne Allen (ankle) was not at the team's practice Friday, according to Zak Keefer of the Indy Star.
Allen didn't practice at all this week, meaning his status for Week 3 is very much in doubt. Allen was not targeted in Week 2 after garnering six targets in Week 1. His absence could result in a bump for fellow tight end Coby Fleener, though Fleener has only seen one target on the season.
Allen was one of the more efficient tight ends in 2014, though that was partially due to his heavy red-zone usage. Allen finished third in Reception Net Expected Points per target among the 32 tight ends who were targeted at least 40 times. Meanwhile, Fleener was seventh in the same category. Our projections currently have Fleener catching 2 passes for 30 yards and 0.28 touchdowns Sunday against the New York Jets.
