Packers plan to use Aaron Jones, Ty Montgomery in committee approach
Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy said that he plans to use running backs Ty Montgomery and Aaron Jones as a committee moving forward.
McCarthy also noted that Montgomery will handle passing downs. This past week, he played 24 snaps to Jones' 20 as he was out-touched by the younger Jones. Montgomery was better in the way of production and was more effective in pass-blocking. Given that, he should play the majority of snaps with Brett Hundley manning the offense.
On average, Jones has out-produced Montgomery 11.7-to-9.5 FanDuel points per game this season. At the lower price of the two ($5,300), Montgomery and his 7.4 projected FD points make him the better point-per-dollar play in Week 10.
