Lions place Haloti Ngata (biceps) on IR
The Detroit Lions have placed defensive tackle Haloti Ngata on injured reserve with a torn bicep.
Ngata, a 33-year-old veteran, left the team's Week 5 matchup and will be sidelined for at lest eight weeks with the injury. Prior to this, Ngata was playing limited snaps yet had seven tackles and two sacks through five games. The Lions have signed Caraun Reid as his replacement.
Our models project Ngata for 25.2 tackles, 4.0 sacks and 1.3 forced fumbles the rest of the way this season.
