Rishard Matthews expects to benefit from Titans' new weapons

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Rishard Matthews believes that the offense's "infusion of talent" will benefit him this season.

What It Means:

Matthews led the Titans with 108 targets, 945 yards and 9 scores in 2016, but Eric Decker and rookie Corey Davis are joining the fold at wideout. That now gives quarterback Marcus Mariota four key targets in tight end Delanie Walker and his trio of top wideouts. But Matthews only sees that as a plus for him. With the defensive focus on others, he thinks that he could capitalize on the opportunities he's given.

As our WR41 in season-long, Matthews is projected for a decent showing in Week 1. His 5.5 targets trail Decker, but his 55.2 yards are set to lead the Titans in their matchup with the Oakland Raiders. It's also worth noting that Matthews will run you just $6,100 compared to Decker's $6,500 price tag.
