Latavius Murray 'might' play in Vikings' third preseason game
Minnesota Vikings running back Latavius Murray (ankle) might make his Vikings' debut this weekend versus the San Francisco 49ers.
Murray missed all of spring drills and the first two weeks of training camp after undergoing offseason ankle surgery. He has been practicing since August 7 but did not make an appearance in either of the first two preseason games. Rookie Dalvin Cook has taken hold of the starting tailback job with Murray out and is the projected starter for Week 1.
Murray is projected for a decent role in the Vikings offense, by our models, with 168.7 touches, 774.8 total yards, and 4.3 touchdowns, ranking as an RB39 in standard leagues.
