Broncos' Montee Ball struggles in roster audition
Denver Broncos running back Montee Ball rushed 16 times for 27 yards in the Broncos' final preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Ball has steadily slid down the Broncos' depth chart, and he's an underdog to survive the next round of cuts.
Ball was by far the Broncos' least effective back in 2014. His -0.15 Rushing Net Expected Points per carry were the lowest among Broncos backs by a large margin, with the next lowest being -0.01 Rushing NEP per carry by Ronnie Hillman. With the amount of talent in the Broncos backfield and Ball's lack of success, we can't be shocked if he winds up a free agent.
