Miami 'quietly hopeful' about DeVante Parker's status
Miami Dolphins' wideout DeVante Parker (foot) resumed practicing Monday, and the Dolphins are "quietly hopeful" he'll be ready for Week 1.
Parker's limited session on Monday was his first practice of any kind since his June operation. As a rookie, Parker is already behind the eight-ball, even more so with all of his missed time. The Dolphins have a lot of options at receiver, but they obviously covet what Parker brings to the table as evidenced by the draft capital they spent to get him.
The Dolphins ranked 16th in our schedule-adjusted Passing Net Expected Points metric last season. Our algorithms project Parker to finish the year with 48 receptions, 589 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns.
