Lions activate Joique Bell from PUP list
The Detroit Lions have activated running back Joique Bell off of the active/physically unable to perform list.
Bell's activation comes on the heels of impressive preseason work out of both Ameer Abdullah and undrafted rookie Zach Zenner. Bell figures to get the majority of reps at the start of the season, but any struggles could lead to a quick hook.
Bell was by no means spectacular last season, but he still got the job done. He finished 22nd in Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play among the 43 running backs who had at least 100 carries. The Lions as a team ranked 19th in our schedule-adjusted Rushing NEP per play, leaving room for improvement if Abdullah can take the reins.
