Steelers acquire kicker Josh Scobee
The Pittsburgh Steelers have acquired kicker Josh Scobee from the Jacksonville Jaguars.
What It Means:
The Steelers lost kicker Shaun Suisham earlier this preseason, and replacement Garrett Hartley suffered a potentially serious injury in Sunday's preseason game against the Bills. Jason Meyers will take over the starting kicker spot in Jacksonville.
Our algorithms projected Scobee to finish the year with 22 field goals made and 30 extra points prior to the trade. He should see more field goal opportunities in Pittsburgh due to their high-powered offense.
