Redskins not trying to trade Robert Griffin
Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is not on the trading block, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.
The saga in Washington D.C. rages on. It appears Kirk Cousins is going to start the team's opener, but the remaining question is what the Redskins do with Griffin, whom they sold the ranch to acquire.
As a rookie in 2012, Griffin finished sixth in the league in Total Net Expected Points (NEP) at 132.92, which accounts for his stellar rushing production in addition to his passing contributions. He hasn't been the same since, suffering multiple injuries to his legs and a concussion this preseason. His Total NEP slipped to 28.47 in 2013 and then tumbled to -37.24 last year.
