Brandon Guyer's three-hit day leads Rays past Royals

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Brandon Guyer went 3-for-4 with a solo home run as the Rays took down the Kansas City Royals on Sunday.

What It Means:

Guyer led off the bottom of the first inning with a single and later scored. He added a solo home run in the third inning to tie the game at two apiece.

The outfielder has quietly had a solid year for the Rays, batting .270/.372/.407 with six home runs, 24 RBI, 34 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 293 plate appearances. He set a career-high in wOBA in 2014 at .316, but he's on pace to top that with a .339 mark this year. We have him with a .697 OPS the rest of the season.
