Robert Woods (hip) likely out for Bills' third preseason game
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Robert Woods (hip) is likely to miss Saturday's preseason game against the Steelers.
Woods has returned to practice with the team, but the Bills do not want to take any risks of aggravating the injury. Woods will compete with Percy Harvin for reps across from Sammy Watkins in the Bills offense.
The Bills ranked 14th in our schedule-adjusted Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) metric last season. Woods ranked 34th out of 40 wide receivers with at least 100 targets with a 0.57 Reception NEP per target last season. We project Woods to finish the year with 37 receptions, 393 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns.
