Vikings' Stefon Diggs attributes downturn to post-injury play
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs says he was "never the same" after suffering a groin injury in Week 4 last season.
Diggs topped 100 yards in each of the Vikings' first two games, then did so just once the rest of the season. Diggs has taken full responsibility for the downturn, attributing it to not being in good enough shape. "Stuff like that is on me, staying healthy," he said. The injury and conditioning shouldn't be concerns heading into 2017, and Diggs should be back in the Vikings' top receiver spot.
Among the 41 wide receivers to receive 100 targets in 2016, Diggs' 0.70 Reception Net Expected Points per target was the 20th-highest rate.
