Broncos confirm they'll use a committee at running back
Denver Broncos new head coach Vance Joseph said the team plans to use a running back committee this season.
"You need two or three guys that can carry the load. It is no longer a one-guy position," Joseph said. "I’m excited to have Jamaal (Charles), C.J. (Anderson), (Devontae Booker), even De’Angelo (Henderson) in the mix. It’s going to be competitive, and that’s the way it should be." Anderson is the current favorite to lead the backfield in touches, but Charles' health and Booker's year-two progression could make this a full-blown committee in Denver.
The Broncos ranked fourth-worst in the league last year in terms of Adjusted Offensive Rushing Net Expected Points per play.
