Lions expect Jarrad Davis to contribute immediately
Detroit Lions rookie middle linebacker Jarrad Davis will "help us quickly," head coach Jim Caldwell expects.
Davis is expected to immediately take over at middle linebacker with Tahir Whitehead moving outside. "We expect him to be a factor for us," Caldwell said. "Smart guy. He’s got ability, can run, hit, etc." Detroit's other linebacker spot is also up for grabs. Free agent addition Paul Worrilow is penciled in as the starter right now, but he could be pushed by fourth-rounder Jalen Reeves-Maybin.
