Jaguars move up one spot to select Cam Robinson at 34th Overall
The Jacksonville Jaguars traded up to select Alabama offensive tackle Cam Robinson with the 34th overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
The Seahawks traded down for the third time in this draft, nabbing the 187th overall pick in exchange for moving down one spot. Robinson -- who stands 6’6" and 322 pounds -- started 43 games in three years with the Crimson Tide, earning the 2016 Outland Trophy as the nation’s top offensive lineman, but tested pretty poorly at the Combine. All too often a whiffer in pass protection, Robinson is likely best suited for guard or right tackle in the pros.
Robinson was flagged for 23 penalties over his final two seasons. He'll be tasked with protecting quarterback Blake Bortles a season after the Jags allowed the eighth-most Sack Net Expected Points per drop back in the league.
