Bengals make John Ross the ninth pick in the draft
The Cincinnati Bengals selected Washington Huskies wide receiver John Ross with the ninth overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Ross is a burner. He set the NFL Draft Combine record for 40-yard dash time (4.22) after a breakout junior season with the Huskies. Somewhat injury-prone, Ross missed all of the 2015 season with a knee injury and has endured a torn labrum, which the wideout is currently recovering from. He is a deep threat that will have the chance to be an excellent complement to A.J. Green in the Bengals offense.
Ross caught 81 passes for 1,150 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also added eight carries for 102 yards and a touchdown in 2016 for Washington.
