Saints could be a fit for Chargers' Melvin Ingram
The New Orleans Saints' need to find a pass rusher is "a must," head coach Sean Payton said.
The Saints have a standout in defensive end Cameron Jordan, but they need much more help getting to the quarterback, especially if defensive tackle Nick Fairley leaves in free agency. They could attack the problem in the draft, but impending free agent Melvin Ingram would be an intriguing option if the Los Angeles Chargers let him test the market.
The Saints' 0.23 opponent-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play was third-worst this year.
