Broncos interested in meeting with Victor Cruz
The Denver Broncos were "already working to at least meet with" free agent wide receiver Victor Cruz as of late Monday, according to ESPN Broncos reporter Jeff Legwold.
The Broncos are looking for a third receiver behind Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. Cruz wouldn't be a great addition for the offense, but he shouldn't cost much. An NFL scout told ESPN's Paul Kuharsky earlier this week that the 30-year-old Cruz is "probably done."
Among the 56 wide receivers with between 25 and 75 targets this past season, Cruz's Reception Net Expected Points per target ranked 25th.
