Vikings' Adrian Peterson (knee, IR) ran sprints Tuesday
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson (knee, I.R.) was seen running sprints during the open portion of Tuesday's practice.
Head coach Mike Zimmer said Peterson is "probably ahead of schedule." It's an important step in his recovery, though Peterson still has several more hurdles to clear before he's game-ready. AP has an outside chance of returning in Week 15 or 16, but fantasy owners shouldn't be counting on him for meaningful contributions down the stretch.
Among the 70 running backs with at least 30 rushing attempts heading into Week 13, Peterson's -0.29 Rushing Net Expected Points per attempt ranks dead last.
