Patriots hopeful that Jimmy Garoppolo will be ready for Week 4
The New England Patriots are hopeful that quarterbacks Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder) and Jacoby Brissett (thumb) will both be available for Week 4's meeting with the Buffalo Bills, per ESPN's Ed Werder.
Garoppolo was seen without a sling and appears to be ready to return to practice on Tuesday, and has reportedly progressed well in his recovery. Whatever happens in Week 4, Tom Brady will take the reins when he returns in Week 5.
Garoppolo has been outstanding this season, and his 0.49 Passing Net Expected Points per dropback are the best among quarterbacks with 50-plus dropbacks.
