Patriots' Jacoby Brissett won't need thumb surgery
New England Patriots quarterback Jacoby Brissett only suffered a sprained thumb and will not require surgery according to ESPN's Dianna Russini.
What It Means:
There are reports of a torn ligament in the thumb but apparently surgery isn't required at this time. Brissett had 103 yards on 11-of-19 passing and ran the ball 8 times for 48 yards and a touchdown on Thursday, but it looks like he might not be available in Week 4.
Brissett only managed -2.50 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) in the game, while he contributed a 0.44 Rushing NEP, per numberFire Live.
