Washington's Friday practice pivotal for DeSean Jackson (knee, ankle)
Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson's (knee, ankle) Friday practice will be key in determining his Week 3 status, said head coach Jay Gruden.
"With a sprinter like that, he needs to be full go," Gruden explained, suggesting that a limited session Thursday wasn't enough to guarantee Jackson's status for Week 3. Gruden said they will try to hit Jackson with a few deep balls Friday to gauge if he's at "full speed." Owners should have a backup plan ready.
numberFire's metrics expect Jackson to catch 4 passes for 62 yards and 0.46 touchdowns on Sunday against the New York Giants. Jackson currently ranks 38th in Reception Net Expected Points among the 76 receivers with at least 10 targets this season.
