Baltimore inks Jake Long to one-year deal
Free agent offensive tackle Jake Long has signed a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens.
Long, the first overall pick in the 2008 draft, was once regarded as the premier left tackle in the league. His play has really fallen off though, and the Ravens will be his third team in the last three seasons.
The Ravens were effective in pass protection last year, only allowing an average of one sack per 29.17 dropbacks, the best mark in the league. Long is no guarantee to crack the starting lineup with the Ravens, but the deal is an interesting flier without much risk.
