Browns won't trade Josh McCown unless they're wowed
The Cleveland Browns will only trade quarterback Josh McCown if they receive a "tremendous offer," the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Terry Pluto believes.
Pluto added "McCown was the best quarterback on the field" in the practices he watched. The Browns seem committed to Robert Griffin III as their Week 1 starter, but Griffin has a long injury history and may not be effective even when healthy. Unless they trust third-round rookie Cody Kessler or journeyman Austin Davis to make starts, keeping McCown around makes sense.
We believe Griffin will start too; our algorithms project him for 3,814 passing yards, 21.20 touchdowns, and 16.08 interceptions, as well as 180.21 rush yards and 1.84 touchdowns. RG3 is our 28th-best fantasy quarterback option going into training camp.
